In the news this weekend, we've heard new figures showing that many people struggle to get an appointment with their GP.
This isn't 'news' to us as we hear from people all over Kent that they can wait up to 6 weeks to get a GP appointment. Other people tell us they can get an appointment on the same day.
Our CEO, Steve Inett said,
“We regularly hear from Kent residents who are struggling to get an appointment with their GP with many people reporting waiting times of over 4 weeks. We have raised these concerns with the organisations who commission GP services and these latest figures will reinforce our ongoing conversations. In the meantime, we would encourage people to share their stories with us as the more evidence we have, the more we can do to bring about changes for Kent."
