New idea to support older people and people with disabilities in Kent to live better at home

A new project is being developed by Kent County Council to help support people with disabilities as well as older people in Kent to stay in their own homes and communities.

The people organising the project (Community Catalysts) want to invite you to hear more about their ideas and talk to them about what would be useful for you.

They are hosting a series of virtual meetings across the 12 districts of Kent starting THIS WEEK. The links for all 12 events can be found below:

If you are unable to attend the event for your own district, book to attend in another district as the meeting format and content will be the same.

At the meeting they will share more information about the project and explore the following questions:

  • What is working well for people- what support/services are on offer already?
  • Do you know of any small enterprises (may be a sole trader/up to 8 staff) already offering care and support at home OR activities in the community for older or disabled people?
  • Where are the gaps?
  • What is missing?
  • Where are there long waiting lists for care and support?
  • Any other local information that you would like to share

If you have any questions at all, please contact Debbie John from Community Catalysts: debbie.john@communitycatalysts.co.uk  Tel: 07990515632
