Last chance to have your say on changes to heart services in West Kent
This week is your last chance to share your thoughts about changes to cardiology services in West Kent.
At the moment, cardiology services (care for people with heart problems) are provided at both Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospital. However, the hospitals often struggle to meet some of the national best practice recommendations. To improve the quality of the care they care offer, they want to make some changes to the current service.
You have until Friday January 14th to share your thoughts.
The NHS would like your thoughts on the four options that they are considering which are:
- leave the services as they are
- consolidate cardiology at Maidstone Hospital
- consolidate cardiology at Tunbridge Wells Hospital
- build a dedicated cardiology unit at Maidstone Hospital
None of these options will affect outpatient care.
